Succulent! I did make a quite a few changes though. First, I sauteed some onion in with my ground beefiness. I used Mexicorn, and instead of the Miracle Whip, I used just over 1/2 cup of fat free sour cream instead. I also used a packet of taco seasoning rather than the chili pulverization. In my pantry, there were some refried black beans I wanted to get rid of, and I figured this would be a good way to do that. Boy, was I right! I layered information technology on top of the beefiness mixture in my 9x13. For the crushed chips, I used Fritos rather than tortilla chips, and final but non least, I used 2 cups of Mexican cheeses rather than just Colby. In essence, I guess I changed almost everything well-nigh the recipe. LOL! Just it was DELICOIUS! Ally

I have been looking for this recipe. My mom used to make information technology when I was young. Just she passed away, and never had any of her recipes written downwards. Suggestion: The recipes your family loves please write them downward so if one mean solar day something happens they will be able to copy your succulent food, and accept pleasant memories when eating it.

Um, HELLO!!! Of class this isn't real "Nachos"! Information technology says CASSEROLE in the championship....honestly, this is pretty adept, only do sub. sour cream for the Miracle Whip.

I really wish people would review recipes AS THEY ARE WRITTEN. If I see yous put as the first word Succulent I assume the recipe is really good. Just then I get through it and everything about the recipe has been changed...use some common sense people. Review the recipe as it is and then possibly state what you lot did differently.

I tried this recipe only made a few alterations. First, I substituted ground beef with ground turkey. Always a healthier selection. And then I replaced chili powder with ii tbsp. of taco seasoning. I also reduced the salsa to 1 cup & added 1 tin can of black beans in with the corn. Instead of three/4 mayo I used ane/2 loving cup of sour cream & 1 heaping tbsp. of mayo. Once complete, this was really easy to make then good! I totally loved it! My husband said it tasted like Nachos Grande. It'south also is a proficient recipe if you have cleaved upwardly pieces of nacho fries left at the end of a purse. I found the smaller more than crumbled up pieces filled information technology in smashing. Thanks for the new recipe!
11/27/2007
I used Rotel instead of salsa and did not add corn. I seasoned the beefiness with taco seasoning and cooked a chopped onion and garlic to the meat while browning it. I likewise used half sour cream and one-half mayo. Very easy to make and the bf loved it.
10/22/2007
great gustatory modality, and the miracle whip gave it fifty-fifty more zip! loved the peppers, onions, etc that were in it from the chunky salsa. easy recipe and i will definitely be making this over again. i practise accept to say that side by side time i will embrace information technology will aluminum foil because the cheese on acme became hard and crusty. thanks! yum!

I agree with some other review. This is ridiculous that people rate recipes according to how they completely modify information technology from the original. Please follow the original recipe first then make suggestions!!!
12/05/2007
This is a goulash but it is definitely not nachos. Miracle Whip has no place in Nachos, and neither does corn.
04/11/2005
Loved it. After reading all of the other reviews, I made some changes - I added onion to my ground chuck, used 1/2 cup Phenomenon Whip and 1/4 cup sour cream, 2 tsp. chili powder and ii tsp. of Tastefully Simple's "Fiesta Party Dip" mix (it was what I had on hand!) and Nacho Cheese Doritos instead of patently tortilla chips. The whole family unit loved it, it was quick and easy and volition certainly be made again!
09/20/2007
This was pretty practiced. I used sour cream instead of mayo, taco seasoning instead of the chili powder, and Charcoal-broil Fritos instead of tortilla fries. Married man is now on his 3rd basin. It would be actually good with some refried beans and put inside a warm tortilla!
08/29/2011
I made this with sour cream and miracle whip, also added onion to the footing beef.
12/09/2007
easily down out of every unmarried recipe i've use on allrecipes . com this is the 1 i'm nearly famous for. I'ts crawly merely how information technology is... just my spouse prefers onion instead of corn so i melt that in with the footing beef. I take given this recipe out to soooo many ppl. I know it's not pretty in the pan, but in one case layered and baked it is AMAZING

We really liked this one! I had to change information technology for what I had, I used a tin and a half of Rotel instead of salsa (tuckered information technology a petty fleck) and used cheddar cheese. A keeper for certain. Adjacent time I might sub Ranch Dressing for the mayo merely to kick information technology around it a bit. VERY yummy!
01/28/2016
Hubby and Son whom I made this for liked it very much. I tasted it earlier baking and I was only a tad put off by the over powering taste of salad dressing. But didn't say zilch to them. Baked and out of the oven. It was nicer in flavor then it was before I put it in. Simply will say, it was a tad runny and could totally employ less salad dressing and more spice. I had to use Absurd Ranch Dortios considering married man ate the plain ones. Go figure. However, I totally liked this best next morning out of the frig...it had that overnice goulash season and I liked it better cold. But I would make again with adjustments of less salad dressing, more chili pulverisation and more crushed chips.
03/10/2011
This was succulent and elementary to make. I did make the post-obit changes: 1) Added a packet of taco seasoning to the beefiness 2) Added a chopped onion to the ground beef while cooking 3) Used sour cream instead of the mayo. You would call up the chips get soggy, but they don't! This tastes just as skillful leftover also!
08/21/2009
My kids loved this! My girl said she may even have me make this for her Birthday dinner instead of going out to a restaurant to consume. Wow...that's a existent compliment. :) From other suggestions, I cooked an onion with the ground beef, used one/4 C mayo and ane/2 C of sour foam for the mixture, and used 2 TBSP of taco seasoning instead of the chili powder. Smashing recipe, thank you!
08/29/2011
Just finished eating some other bowl of this a few minutes ago. VERY, VERY skilful and super piece of cake to make. I fabricated a couple of substitutions, however, because I wanted to use up some stuff in the fridge and lighten the fat and calorie factors. First, I used upward some turkey/beef mix I was saving in the freezer to make burgers later. It had some onions, garlic, common salt & pepper, and some gluten gratis bread crumbs in information technology. Then I used a parcel of Simply Organic Southwest Taco mix instead of merely the chili powder, a 6oz container of 0% fat gratis Greek style yogurt with well-nigh 2 tbsp of organic full fat sour cream, a mix of purple tortilla chips and broiled lentil-azuki bean fries (got these from Trader Joe's--the lentil chips actually stayed crispier than the tortilla fries), frozen corn and some freshly chopped zucchini that needed to be used, only 1 cup salsa, and lower fat, shredded mexican style cheese. The event was all yums! Leftovers for dinner and luncheon tomorrow! Hooray.
08/23/2011
Wow this was quick and like shooting fish in a barrel. Nosotros loved information technology! Made it in less than an hour. Its really filling too. Thanks for the new recipe. I've used 2 new recipe'due south this calendar week.

I don't recall I'd make this as written, simply it's a good base of operations recipe. I could only requite it three stars because I made a lot of changes, which were excellent. I filled a 9x13 pan with layers, baking at 350 for the same amount of time directed. Outset, I used approx. 2.5 lbs hamburger (that was the size it came in), cooked with a lg chopped onion, 2 pkts taco seasoning, water, table salt, pepper, stale diced garlic, and cayenne pepper. To that, I added (all the same on heat) 2 cans drained corn, 2 cans blackness beans (not drained), i tin diced green chiles (not drained), and approx. one.v cups each of medium and mild chunky salsas. Since the pan's contents already had created a nice sauce, I added 1 c. plain Greek yogurt (unnecessary)(I wanted to save my sour foam for serving on top). I didn't desire to use Miracle Whip, which sounded greasy and gross. I took the opportunity to use up 3 bags worth of tortilla scrap crumbs (you know, the trivial pieces toward the end of the bag that are too little to dip) that I had been saving for an occasion like this. I layered twice as directed (meat mixture, fries, cheese), using most half-dozen cups of various shredded cheeses (sharp cheddar, taco blend, pizza blend, etc.)(wanted to utilize up a few opened packages). All of this filled my 9x13 pan. I served it cut into large squares with a large dollop of sour cream and some salsa. My teenage son and my parents raved over it, looking forward to any leftovers. I must say, information technology was absolutely delicious. I'll make this again!!
02/23/2011
My husband loved this. I followed some of the other reviewers suggestions merely I don't think some of the changes should be made..... I used rotel tomatoes instead of salsa. Next fourth dimension I volition defiantly use salsa. I used taco seasoning and chili pulverisation abt i.5tbs. I added black beans and had to utilize frozen corn since I didn't have any canned corn. Instead of the creamy salad dressing, I used three/4cup of fatty complimentary plain yogurt and about 2tbs of low-cal sour cream. Information technology tasted great (I don't intendance of plain fatty complimentary yogurt by itself) only I would like it a footling creamier. And then I will probably use one/2c yogurt and 1/2cup sour cream since the sour foam is thicker. I cooked dark-green onions with the ground turkey. All in all information technology was very good. I call up information technology would be great exactly equally the recipe is written simply I wanted to make it a footling healthier. By the way, the chips stated crunchy. I was afraid they would get soggy but they didn't.

To a previous reviewer - I was given some very good advice a long time ago: "Never try a new recipe, for the start time, when you lot are in a hurry, or making information technology for visitor. Something will go wrong well-nigh 99% of the time!"
08/27/2011
SOO GOOD! I did a couple of things differently such as using sour cream instead of Phenomenon Whip & didn't have any chili pulverization on hand. Fabricated some beans & cheese, & mexican ascent for the sides. Hmmm. It was the best homemade mexican dinner!
08/30/2011
Love, love this goulash. so simple and piece of cake. i made it exactly every bit information technology was written. my grandson is a very picky eater but loved this and had 2nds. next fourth dimension i volition add a spin of my own. will use my homemade salsa, homemade tortilla chips, all in all it is a cracking dish. thanks
09/01/2011
The only alter I made was added a layer of refried beans. My 3 year sometime practically licked her plate! Will be making again, with the beans.
08/16/2011
Followed recipe exact also using one/iv sour foam and the residue miracle whip. My 2 twelvemonth quondam ate it upward and so did my married man. Will make this once more :)
06/10/2011
I used less mayo and salsa than the recipe called for mainly because I didn't have enough ha! And added jalapeno's to the meat mixture. I liked this more equally I ate it but initially wasn't a huge fan. Adjacent time I volition try half sour cream and half mayo. Possibly add together some chili!
08/29/2011
Crawly, quick meal. I also changed the phenomenon whip to sour cream ...tin also utilize greek yogurt.Added black beans too. I utilize Tostitos new Black Edible bean whole grain fries....it was delish!! Salad on the side. AThanks
08/29/2011
Well I make some changes due to diet restrictions--low fat, low sodium and no MSG. Information technology's still a good recipe. I added cumin, garlic powder and onion pulverization and occasionally throw in some pinto or kidney beans for fiber or instant dark-brown rice if the low sodium chips accept been eaten already. It'southward easy, fast, filling and relatively cheap and leftovers are great the next day, if in that location are whatsoever leftovers. Sorry I can't swallow it as written but guess it one of prices you pay if you live long enough. Recently constitute a 'natural' sour cream at Kroger. It's very depression sodium so I use instead of regular sour foam or salad dressing.
12/ten/2007
Yum! Subbed taco seasoning for chili powder and sour cream for mayo. Dear it. Wish I had thrown in some onion and pepper, but still actually good. Hit with the kids! Editing to add: made information technology a tertiary time today, but had no sour cream and didn't feel like going to store, so I used mayo, even though it still sounds weird to me. But it is simply as practiced! Did a layer of refried beans between the meat and fries layer and threw some green onion, green pepper and leftover corn on summit. Yum! Looks pretty too! :)
09/11/2004
I give this i only 4 stars because of all the modifications. The base thought was nifty though. I used a can of rotel, three/4ths cup of sour cream, and taco seasoning instead of chili powder. I also used turkey instead of beefiness to cutting calories, and sauteed a clove of garlic and 1/two loving cup of onion with the turkey. In addition, I used ii small corn tortillas for a meridian layer with a thin layer of cheese to help bring out the flavor of the tortilla chips and information technology was awesome!
05/27/2011
This is a supereasy and tasty recipe. I made one exchange but to make it healthier. I substituted nonfat greek yogurt for mayo. I likewise used baked tortilla chips. I didn't have colby cheese so I used cheddar instead and it was super yummy!
01/27/2011
I added sour cream in place of the mayo and added reddish kidney beans - yum!
06/23/2004
I took then many suggestions from other reviewers, that the just ingredient that remained the aforementioned in this recipe was the basis beef. These were my substitutions: 1 can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilis), one can Fiesta or Mexicorn, iii/4 sour cream, 1 packet taco seasoning, 2 cups corn chips, 2 cups mexican shredded cheese. It had a piffling zip to it, but if our ii yr one-time wasn't eating it, I would take used "hot" taco seasoning. My husband and I topped our servings with sour cream and jalepeno slices with actress corn chips on the side. We both had seconds. This volition be made again and again! I give my recipe 5 stars! Thank you reviewers!
02/22/2011
I idea this was very good. My hubby liked information technology every bit well. I don't think I would change anything about information technology. Except definitely use sour cream instead of phenomenon whip.
10/04/2009
After reading the reviews from this site, I fabricated the following changes. First, I skipped the corn altogether (my husband despises it, and I wasn't in the mood to argue with him!) I used 1/two loving cup lite Phenomenon Whip and ane/2 loving cup fat-free sour cream; I finely chopped some onion and grated 2 cloves of fresh garlic, and so added them to the cooking basis beefiness; I used a combination of reduced-fat cheeses (I think whatever types of cheese that you and your family like would piece of work simply as well here.) I also crushed 2 cups of Nacho Cheese Doritos for this, merely next fourth dimension, I recall I volition use barbecued Fritos (if only there were depression-fatty Doritos and Fritos, we'd take it made!) Fifty-fifty with my attempts to make this dish a lower fatty recipe, information technology was absolutely succulent! My husband had 2 large helpings, and the rest of the family polished it off! Give thanks you, Lunch*Lady for submitting such a quick, like shooting fish in a barrel and delish recipe!
08/29/2011
excellent recipe. I used the sour cream similar other reviewers recommended, and I also added a can of greenish chilis. I used medium hot southwestern way salsa, with corn and black beans, which really added some extra chunkiness and heat.
10/13/2007
This was dandy and easy. I fabricated it vegetarian past substituting refried beans and black beans for the beef. Will be making this again.
04/20/2007
This recipe was a proficient starting point for me. I changed quite a scrap and it turned out okay. Non annihilation to brand when I want to impress merely it was pretty tastey. Some of the changes were out of convenience/health and some where preference. I used ground turkey instead of beefiness. I didn't use salsa at all. I used no fatty sour foam instead of mayo (information technology just sounded likewise weird!). I used a packet of taco seasoning instead of chili pulverization. I used whole grain chips, which I would probably change if I made this again. And lastly I added 1 can of fat free refried beans. There was about 2 cups of the beefiness mixture left over and I used that to dip tortilla chips in later. My concoction turned out pretty well. Expert luck!
05/09/2012
Made this for dejeuner today and information technology was Crawly! I added commerical taco seasoning to the ground beef. I had some leftover Black Beans, Corn and Yellow Rice (recipe here on AR) then I added that as 1 of the layers instead of just corn. I used a Mexican cheese blend for the cheese and Hint of Jalapeno tortilla fries.
12/06/2007
I did non care for this recipe.
07/fourteen/2003
This made a good condolement nutrient dish. Quick and piece of cake, it's perfect for a middle of the calendar week kind of meal. I did make changes still - mainly due to what I had in the kitchen. I used hot salsa, added a packet of hot taco seasoning (due west/o water) to the beef, as well as some garlic powder. I didn't take any corn (travesty, really) and used colby-jack cheese. Yummy!
09/fifteen/2004
Non ane of the best for my family, my husband didn't intendance for it. Mayhap with a few changes it would be better.
10/02/2011
Bully meal. I took Ally'due south suggestions an added whole black beans, replaced the miracle whip (never cared for) with sour cream and used Colby jack and mexicorn and added onions to the burger. The suggestions always help. I'm glad I read them earlier I starting time a recipe!
12/09/2003
Very yummy and smells groovy while cooking too! Instead of the corn, I added one can of drained black beans to the meat, and used sour cream instead of the mayo. Along with the chili pulverization, I added nearly 1.five tsp of garlic powder and a pinch or 2 of salt. I used the nacho flavored shredded cheese and topped the goulash with chopped chili peppers. Great quick repast!
12/08/2007
My family loved it...used sour cream in place of mayo. will make again and volition utilise more layers and increment the corporeality of tortilla chips.
12/11/2007
My family unit really liked this recipe. I did make a few changes. i add together ranch dressing instead of the mircle whip and i add together blackness beans.
08/thirty/2011
My whole family of nine loved this which is a difficult assignment in itself. I didn't bake it, as we don't utilise the oven in the summer, merely it (doubled recipe with added black beans) turned out not bad in the crockpot on depression for about five hours (I recollect). Used 2/3 sour cream and 1/iii mayo. My opinion because the chips captivated whatever liquid was in there, it turned out with the consistency of tamales. Great recipe! Will make over again!
01/10/2012
O.K. - I made some changes (I always practice), so I rated information technology w/ the changes I made. First, I despise Phenomenon Whip, so I substituted with ½ cup of sour cream and ¼ loving cup of spicy ranch dressing (Hidden Valley makes it). I cooked the beef with onion and substituted the chili power w/ taco seasoning & cilantro. I added blackness beans, blackness olives, and green chilies; for the salsa I used ½ loving cup of jarred salsa and and so ½ loving cup of bootleg salsa with ingredients right from my friend'south garden (fresh cilantro, red onion, garlic & tomatoes)- so that salsa will be difficult to recreate over again, BUT information technology actually added something to the dish. Finally, I sprayed the entire mixture with fresh lime juice and a scrap of ruby-red pepper flakes. I used Mexican blend cheese and the "hint of lime" tortilla chips. It got good reviews from the fam. It also makes a great dish to have for lunches throughout the week. Likewise, if you take out the flake layer, it could easily be a layered bit dip. Thanks then much for the idea!!!
xi/01/2003
This casserole was so simple to make. Under 30 minutes!! I replaced the mayo with SOUR CREAM (simply i/2 loving cup) and the taste was much more in line with a mexican meal. I also used a taco seasoning packet to give information technology my pizazz and diced up black olives considering I had them. I also offered additional fries on the side. This would also be a great party dip!
08/31/2011
I added onion to the ground beefiness and used taco seasoning instead of chili powder. I also substituted sour cream instead of miracle whip. My family loved this dish and it was so piece of cake to fix. Cheers then much for this recipe :)
08/31/2010
A skilful alternative to only apparently nachos for dinner. :-) I used ground turkey, whole grain chips, and subbed sour cream per other reviews. Also halved the ingredients and it fit well in an 8x8 pan. Next time I plan to add blackness beans, more spices, and apply more finely grated cheese.
01/06/2012
I dear nachos and this def was a dish I had to make, my beau hates mayo but def loved this recipe
01/03/2010
Cracking merely non amazing
09/21/2011
My husband and son (age 16) liked this a lot. To me it was just okay. Yet, I liked it a lot meliorate by putting it on a bed of shredded lettuce!
09/13/2009
i tsp of chili powder is not plenty seasoning. I added extra cumin, chili pulverization, paprika and pepper. I used half mayo / sour cream. I couldnt sense of taste either and so dont be afraid to utilise mayo! Loved the corn in information technology as well. We had whole grain nacho chips. They accept loads of season besides. This is a expert family size casserole.
02/xiv/2004
This was wonderful! I used Taco Seasoning instead of Chili Powder and corn fries instead of tortilla chips and gave it more of a Mexican season.
02/02/2012
This was skillful but could be ameliorate. Side by side fourth dimension I will use sour foam instead of Miracle Whip. The Miracle Whip gave it a funny sweet taste. As others suggested, I might try taco seasoning instead of chili powder.
12/06/2007
My family loves this recipe! I subtract the mayonnaise and add together a can of black beans (rinsed well) for actress nutrition. We similar spicy then I combine hot and medium salsas and add a bit of hot taco sauce also!
05/18/2012
simple and good
06/fifteen/2009
This was so tasty! I used sour foam, colby jack cheese and taco seasoning. My husband had two helpings and loved it!
01/24/2005
Was tasty and easy enough to ready. I did even so have the advice of others and add taco seasoning to the beef, I also used half miracle whip and one-half sour foam used chedder cheese and enjoyed.
12/06/2007
This is really pretty good, with some adjustments. Kilty, give it a break, nobody said a thing almost information technology being from Mexico. I used taco seaoning, sour foam, and chili beans. As well, some hot sauce on the side. A cold beer is also a good idea.
09/01/2011
I'm rating this recipe as information technology is written. We are non fans of Miracle Whip. I didn't follow all the ingredients so I give information technology 3 stars. But as I prepared it, I give it 5 stars all the manner!!!! This was so delicious. My family LOVED it. Especially ane of my picky eaters. Even the other picky eater tried it, and that was a huge step for him. But I made some adjustments to fit our palates. I didn't use corn, Miracle whip, or chili powder. Instead, I used lean ground turkey, i/2 chunky salsa and one/ii balmy taco sauce to my liking (not certain of the measurements, merely I didn't want it runny). I used near 2 heaping Tbsp of fat free sour foam and two heaping Tbsp of plain greek yogurt. I used 1 packet of Taco Bell taco seasoning, and Mild cheddar and Monterey Jack shredded cheese. When I layered it, I started with the crushed fries, meat sauce, cheese. Then fries once more, meat sauce, a few finely crushed chips, then cheese and topped it off with some sliced black olives. This volition definitely be our new "Taco Tuesday" dish. YUMM-O!!!!
10/07/2010
The recipe would have been good but the Miracle Whip was overwhelming...I experience that you should rate recipes as written. I volition effort this once more but follow other's advice and use sour cream in place of the Phenomenon Whip.
08/25/2010
I love it. I use basis turkey instead of beef. I utilize a one-half of jar of taco sauce instead of salsa and one/iv cup of miracle whip. I add cumin, onion powder, garlic powder and chili powder because basis turkey requires a lot more seasoning than beefiness. I serve this with salad on the side or a vegetable. Yum.
07/19/2005
We all thought this was good. Definately don't endeavour to use leftover chips that are a trivial dried. I thought they would be okay but still tasted stale. Will definately make again!
08/30/2011
This was good, the whole family liked it. I followed the advice of other reviewers and used sour cream in identify of salad dressing. I tasted the meat mixture before assembling the casserole and found that I wanted more seasoning. Added Mexene and cumin a piffling at a time until I was happy with it. The biggest change I fabricated was omitting the corn merely because I had fresh corn on the cob I had planned to serve. I will certainly make this again and will include the corn. Thanks!
12/09/2007
I made several changes myself: I added sour cream instead of Miracle Whip (gross), fresh cilantro, cumin, chili powder, taco seasoning, crimson pepper flakes, and a can of refried beans into the mixture. I used Kraft's Taco Cheese instead of colby, every bit well. I topped it off with sliced black olives and fresh tomatoes, placed foil on the tiptop, and broiled for 25 minutes. YUM! Definitely will make over again! All my friends LOVED it.
09/21/2011
Very skillful. Thanks for sharing.
05/23/2006
My husband has declared this his favorite casserole. My 2 and 3 twelvemonth old loved information technology too. I did sub sour foam for the miracle whip.
12/06/2007
Very good! I used a cheesy taco packet later on browning the meat. Then I used sour cream instead of the mayo after reading reviews. This was a hit with the whole family unit.
12/21/2011
One of my family unit'south favs (without the corn kernals).
06/22/2009
This is such an afforadable dish that will go along well if your family unit doesn't mind leftovers (and I like to have them for my lunches at work). Very yummy, quick economical dinner on those worknights when yous want a quick meal.
09/27/2011
This is OK for being so easy, but I would definitely try some of the other reviewers recommendations before I would try it again. I will endeavour to substitute the mayo for sour cream, try taco seasoning instead of chili powder and cover the casserole when in the oven so that the cheese doesn't turn hard.
08/thirty/2011
This is similiar to a recipe that was a favorite of our boys when they were young. I utilize ranch dressing instead of mayo/salad dressing and similar information technology much ameliorate. Pepper jack cheese works well as well or whatsoever leftover graded cheese you have in the frig.
02/09/2009
Yum! The leftovers were gone before I could fifty-fifty remember to eat them! I added an onion while I cooked the meat. This ane'south a keeper.
12/05/2010
Tasted slap-up!
x/16/2009
Easy and quick. A good dinner for the working mom!
05/09/2008
I like this recipe. The nachos requite the dish great texture, and if you lot take kids helping you in the kitchen, they can assistance crush the chips. Also, the corn is a expert add-on to the meat mixture. It makes the meat layer more filling without as much meat. Also good for colour too. All in all, this dish was fun to brand, serve, and savor, and my married man liked information technology meliorate than Ortega's enchilada casserole that I used to make about once a month. 1 other plus...I liked that this recipe called for salsa rather than enchilada sauce because sometimes my grocery store doesn't have enchilada sauce in stock, and it'southward never a bad matter to have leftover chips and salsa. Yum.
10/30/2006
My family unit REALLY enjoyed this dish! My married man loves tacos, but I hate the mess. With this casserole, we both got what we wanted! Our 14 year old Loved it too! I used sour cream instead of the salad dressing, taco seasoning instead of the chili pulverization, sauteed an onion with the beef, and added i/2 can of black beans. I too had some leftover taco shells, so I crunched them upwardly instead of using tortilla chips (I saved the chips for the leftover salsa!). The shells got soft, only not soggy - I thought it was perfect. This will definitely quite often take the place of "taco nighttime" in my business firm! Thanks!!!
09/02/2011
I use sour cream instead of mayo and as well a taco mix shredded cheese, Tastes great...
09/14/2011
information technology was good but needs some alterations.
03/21/2007
Nosotros really liked this! Withal, I couldn't bring myself to put mayo in a "nacho" casserole....then I used SC. YUMMY! I used lower fat cheese.....which I WON'T do next time because it doesn't properly melt! An 8x8 pan is the perfect size. Thanks!
01/11/2009
My hubby and I just tried this recipe. It is actually expert and super like shooting fish in a barrel. I followed some of the suggestions and used 3/4 cup sour foam instead of mayonnaise, 1 packet of taco seasoning instead of chili pulverization, and a packet of shredded Mexican cheeses instead of colby cheese. It was really good and only took u.s.a. well-nigh 30 minutes to make.
01/12/2009
Yummy! I fabricated some last minute changes because while I was making information technology I institute out I was having extra people for dinner! I doubled everything, but was out of ground beef. Omitted corn & added onion and spices when browning meat. Added beans and subbed reduced fatty sour foam for mayo. Layered meat mixture, refried beans, fries, cheese. Served w/ jalapeño slices. Yum! four stars instead of 5 b/c every bit written, it is much less healthy than it could be. Without sacrificing flavor, this could exist adequately healthy w/ lowfat products and only layering once allows you lot to reduce the amounts of fries and cheese. Thanks for a recipe the whole family enjoyed.

Dandy, not real exciting either. The flavour is OK. I ususally don't error that to the recipe, equally I cannot olfactory property. Not being able to smell, diminishes my gustation ability to sweet, salty, bitter, or sour. But DH and DD thought information technology didn't have much flavor either. Thank you!

This is very expert and pretty easy to make. Employ a spicier salsa than you commonly would. I tend to like mild salsa, simply I used medium in this recipe and it was just perfect.

LOVED IT!!! I used another users recommendations. I used fat costless sour cream instead of miracle whip, a taco seasoning packet instead of chili pulverization. Definitely will brand information technology again!

My husband and I both liked this one. Easy and quick to set up on a weeknight. I followed some comments and used less mayo, otherwise I followed the recipe, as I like to practice at least the first time. May try calculation pinto beans side by side time.

Very easy and expert! Used one-half of the mayo and the other half used sour cream.

Great dish! Easy to fix and hit with the kids! I also changed some things around. I used a taco seasoning pack, Mexican corn, sour cream and miracle whip.

This was really good I used sour cream instead of mayo. I also put in Ranch-style beans. I really liked it and I am a picky eater.

This was awesome! Equally others suggested, cooked an onion with the ground beef and used taco seasoning instead of the chili powder. Likewise, omitted the mayo.

this was like shooting fish in a barrel to make so it would get a 5 for that, but my family unit did not like all that well, only they ate it so am giving it a 4.

What a Winner!! This was so good. The adults in the household loved it but equally much as the kids. I did employ ground turkey for a more than healthier approach and added a pack of taco seasoning to the pan when I browned the meat. Finally, I added jalopenos, black olives, and greenish onions to the meat mixture. Following others suggestions, I used simply i tbsp of mayo and added sour cream instead. I also omitted the corn since I didn't have whatever on manus. Finally to enhance the taste I added pico de gallo seasoning to the ground meat mixture and served the finished dish with a dollup of sour foam and guacomole.
